This Privacy Policy describes how Proof ("we," "us," or "our"), operated by LCD Entertainment, collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Proof iOS app and website (collectively, the "Service").
When you create an account, we collect your name (display name) and email address. You may sign in with email authentication or Sign in with Apple. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may share with us the email address associated with your Apple ID (or a private relay address you choose).
You may provide drink and habit logs, journal entries, goals (such as weekly limits or spending budgets), and optional profile details used for personalization, including date of birth and biological sex (for drink guideline defaults). This information is self-reported.
Location is optional and only collected when you choose to use it — for example, when you tap "Use current location" or search for and select a venue while logging a drink. We use this information to tag venues on drink logs and to support spending analytics (such as totals by location). We do not continuously track your location in the background.
We use Sentry to collect crash reports and performance diagnostics (such as device and app technical information). Diagnostic events may be associated with your user identifier so we can investigate issues. This data is used to operate and improve the Service. We do not sell it.
Premium subscriptions are purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and entitlements. Apple processes payment; we do not receive your full payment card details.
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the Service — including account authentication, habit and journal tracking, goal progress, venue tags and spending analytics, community features, customer support, crash diagnosis, and subscription management. We do not, and will never, sell your personal, health, or habit data to third parties.
We rely on trusted service providers to operate the Service:
These providers process data on our behalf as needed to deliver the Service. They are not permitted to sell your personal, health, or habit data for their own marketing purposes.
If you contact us through the website support form, we collect your name, email address, and message. That submission is processed by Resend and delivered to our support inbox. We keep support correspondence until the request is resolved and for a reasonable follow-up period. We do not use support submissions for marketing.
Proof is intended for adults of legal drinking age. In the United States, you must be 21 or older. In other regions, you must be 18 or older, or the local legal drinking age if higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under these age requirements. If we become aware that an underage person has created an account, we will take steps to remove that information and terminate the account.
You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time:
Deletion removes your account, drink history, journals, profile, and community activity from Proof's systems. We also request deletion of processor copies we control, including the RevenueCat subscriber record and Sentry events associated with your user identifier. After deletion we do not send you product emails or in-app reminders.
Apple In-App Purchase billing is controlled by Apple. Deleting your Proof account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Cancel that separately in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions if you do not want Apple to keep charging.
